24 Seasons Syllabic Poetry Challenge, No. 28 & 29 – Clear & Bright

Spring sprays meadows gold
as Dandelion clocks wait
on the perfect breeze
Daisies unfurl in the sun
plucked as links for chains
in blossoming new friendships
glowing in the warmth
of richly spread Buttercups
laying paths of molten sun

Protected bluebells
lay carpets of curtsied heads
woodland neighbours who
watch life play in the meadows
out in the bright clear open

After being ill I am a little behind with writing prompts and then forgot to post this! Never mind – will keep posts together to keep my record of syllabic poetry challenges over the year

  1. Your poem is such a vivid capture of the beauty of spring. I especially love these lines: “Dandelion clocks wait
    on the perfect breeze
    Daisies unfurl in the sun
    plucked as links for chains
    in blossoming new friendships”
    Dandelion clocks!💛

    1. I used to love blowing them as a kid, I have to admit to now trying to cut them off before the breeze catches them and I get even more in my lawn 😂😂. Weeds or (wildflowers) grow so much easier than my flowers I spend so much time over..!!
      Thank you Melissa 💞
